Pasión por la Semana Santa
Ésta es una época ideal
para descubrir algunas de las más arraigadas costumbres de la Comunitat Valenciana
pues en muchos pueblos y ciudades se celebran numerosos festejos en torno a la Semana Santa.
Días que se viven con especial intensidad en Elx, Orihuela y Crevillent.
Las celebraciones entorno a la Semana Santa
comienzan el 1 de abril, con el Domingo de Ramos, y finalizan ocho días
más tarde Éste singular festejo religioso es especialmente vistoso en Elx
debido a los miles de palmas blancas, procedentes de los huertos ilicitanos,
que pueden admirarse durante el transcurso de la Procesión de la Palma. De hecho, en el
Mercado y en el Concurso de Palmas se aprecian verdaderas obras de
arte.
Datada por los historiadores entre los siglos XVI
y XVII, el espectacular Santo Entierro de Orihuela, que se celebra
el 7 de abril, cuenta entre sus tesoros con el paso La Diablesa, alegoría del
triunfo de la Cruz
sobre el demonio y la carne y en el que destaca un diablo con formas de mujer.
Algunos estudiosos relacionan el conjunto de la escultura con la simbología
masónica. En Crevillent los días 3, 4 y 6 de abril se llevan a cabo
las procesiones más importantes
Dignas de mención son las Fiestas declaradas de Interés Turístico Nacional.
En Sagunt se celebra, el 31 de marzo, la representación de la Pasión
en vivo, en Valencia brilla con fulgor la Semana Santa Marinera
y en Alzira se viven con especial intensidad unos festejos en los
que se suceden las entradas y actos litúrgicos.

Passion for the Holy Week
This is an ideal time to discover some of the
most established habits of the Region of Valencia as in many towns and cities
many celebrations are held around the Holy Week. Days that are experienced with
particular intensity in Elx, Orihuela and Crevillent. The celebrations around the Holy
Week start on 1st April, with Domingo de Ramos, and ends eight
days later. This unique religious celebration is especially attractive in Elx
due to the thousands of white palms, from the orchards in Elx, which can be
admired during the course of the Procesion de la Palma. In fact, real works of art can be appreciated in the Market
and in the Competition of Palmas.
Dated
by historians between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the spectacular
Santo Entierro de Orihuela ( Holy Funeral of Orihuela), which is
celebrated on 7th April, has among its treasures the paso de La Diablesa, an allegory
of the triumph of the Cross over the devil and the flesh and in which a devil
in the shape of a women highlights. Some specialists relate the entire
sculpture with Masonic symbolism. In Crevillent on3rd, 4th and 6th April the
most important processions are carried out. Also should be mentioned the Celebrations declared
of National Tourist Interest. On 31st March, Sagunt hosts the performance of the Pasión en vivo
(the Passion live), in Valencia
the Maritime Holy Week shines brightly and Alzira lives with a special
intensity celebrations in which entries and liturgies take place.
Leidenschaft für die Karwoche
Das ist die ideale Zeit, um einige der zutiefst
verwurzelten Bräuche der autonomen Region Valencia zu entdecken, denn in
vielen Dörfern und Städten werden zahlreiche Feste rund um die Karwoche
gefeiert. Diese Tage werden besonders intensiv in Elx, Orihuela und Crevillent erlebt.
Die
Festlichkeiten rund um die Karwoche beginnen am 1. April, Palmsonntag,
und enden acht Tage später. Das Palmsonntagsfest ist in Elche besonders
sehenswert, denn dann können Sie Tausende von weißen Palmen, die aus den
Nutzgärten von Elche stammen, auf der Palmenprozession bewundern. Auf
dem Palmenmarkt und beim Palmenwettbewerb können Sie echte
Kunststücke sehen.
Beim
spektakulären heiligen Begräbnis in Orihuela, das von den
Historikern auf das 16./17. Jahrhundert datiert wird, gibt es auch das
Prozessionsmotiv der Teufelin, eine Allegorie des Triumphes des Kreuzes über
den Teufel und das Fleisch, bei dem die Figur eines weiblichen Teufels
hervorsticht. Einige Fachleute setzen das Gesamtbild der Skulptur mit den
Symbolen der Freimaurer in Beziehung. Am 3., 4. und 6. April finden in Crevillent
die wichtigsten Prozessionen statt.
Auch
die Feste, die von nationalem
touristischem Interesse erklärt sind, müssen hier erwähnt werden. In Sagunt wird am
31. März die Passionsgeschichte livedargestellt und in Alzira
werden einige Festakte ganz intensiv gefeiert, zu denen die Einzüge und
liturgischen Feiern gehören.
