Valencia, home to the III Global Champions Tour
The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is once again home to the most prestigious equestrian circuit in the world: the Global Champions Tour Gran Premio de España-Trofeo Banco Sabadell (GCT), an intense sporting competition that is being held the same year that Valencia has the honour of being the European Capital of Sport.
Between 6th and 8th May, and for the third year running, over 30 riders in the world ranking will be taking part in the different top-level international show-jumping competitions scheduled. The second competition in the GCT 2011 will make the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias in Valencia the centre of international equestrianism. Furthermore, as in previous editions, the former course of the River Turia will be turned into El Jardín del Caballo, a recreational and educational area designed for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike.

Das renommierteste Springturnier der Welt kehrt in die Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias zurück: die Global Champions Tour Großer Preis von Spanien.
Vom 6. bis 8. Mai nehmen zum dritten Male hintereinander über 30 Springreiter der Weltrangliste an mehreren Springwettkämpfen der höchsten internationalen Kategorie teil. Die zweite Etappe des GCT 2011 macht die Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias in Valencia zum Zentrum des internationalen Reitsports. Wie in den Vorjahren wird das ehemalige Flussbett des Turia zum Jardín del Caballo (Pferdegarten), einem Raum für unterhaltsame und didaktische Veranstaltungen, die die Einwohner und Besucher von Valencia genießen können.
