III European Formula 1 Grand Prix in Valencia

The third European Formula 1 Grand Prix is getting underway in Valencia, bringing the best racing car drivers in the world to the city. On Sunday 27th June at 2 p.m., the ninth race on the Formula 1 calendar will be getting underway. Whilst you wait for the big moment, you can enjoy the new Facebook application: Valencia Racing Team.
In this spectacular urban circuit, over 5 kilometres long and with 25 corners, all the big names in Formula 1 racing will be battling it out for victory. We'll be hearing famous names such as Mark Webber, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher. Before the race, there will be an inspection of the Valencia Street Circuit route and then the Pit Lane will be opened.
In addition to Formula 1, the Grand Prix programme also features GP2, GP3, Formula BMW and Porsche Mobil Supercup racing. For GP2, the Valencia Street Circuit will be the setting for the fourth race in which Pastor Maldonado, Dani Clos and Sergio Pérez will be competing, and the third race for the new GP3.

To get your motors running, starting on 25th June, the Valencia Street Circuit will be hosting the first Formula BMW training sessions. On Saturday 26th June, the circuit will become home to five hours of action divided between two key points: the most important event will be the Formula 1 qualifying rounds, divided into three sessions - Q1, Q2 and the definitive Q3 - which will determine the starting positions for the race on Sunday.
Furthermore, as in 2009, the Pit Walk initiative will also be running again this year, giving Formula 1 fans the chance to meet the drivers. On 25th and 26th June, all fans of Formula 1 can walk around the Pit Lane, get a close look at the starting grid or take a souvenir snapshot of the III European Formula 1 Grand Prix in Valencia.
